Restorative Dentistry fixes problems caused by decay, infection and broken or missing teeth.

Composite Fillings: Most fillings are light cured, tooth colored, composite material which has largely replaced metal amalgam fillings. The aesthetic advantages of composites have been matched by newer, more durable materials. Composites will stain a bit more than your natural enamel or porcelain restorations.

Crowns: Crowns are used for teeth with too much damage to repair with a filling. With a crown, a layer of tooth material is removed all around the tooth.  An impression of your teeth is taken to make a crown with custom fit and color. Our all ceramic crowns provide excellent durability and appearance.

Implants: Implants are a terrific solution for missing teeth. Implants often make more sense than bridges where a bridge would require healthy adjacent teeth to be prepped to serve as the abutments to the bridge. For an implant, a special screw is placed where the missing tooth is located. Bone will grow around the implant to make a solid foundation for a crown which is attached to the screw. The aesthetics and function of implants are excellent.

If one requires a root canal+post+crown, an implant may be a better solution for some patients where the long term success of the root canal is in question.

If one is missing several teeth, two implants can support a bridge. Implants can also secure full dentures.
